The ISTTT 2026 Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of high quality papers focusing on relevant topics, including:

Advanced Traffic Control

AI and Machine Learning Innovations in Traffic and Mobility Analysis

Curbside Space Management

Dynamics and Safety Implications in Automated Vehicle Systems

Emerging Mobility Systems

Innovations in Transit Design and Optimization

Innovations in Transportation Modelling

Routing and Equilibrium in Traffic Networks

Traffic Flow Theory

Traffic Theory on Sustainable Micromobility (Bicycle / Pedestrian)

Given the high standards of the ISTTT series, only 36 papers will be selected for podium presentation and a maximum of 24 papers will be selected for poster presentation. Additionally, all selected papers will be published in special issues of Transportation Research Part A, Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part C, and Transportation Research Part E.

First round

Extended Abstract Submission Guidelines

As per previous ISTTTs, we expect all papers accepted by ISTTT26 to be published in these three special issues. To present a paper at ISTTT26, an extended abstract (2000–3000 words) should be submitted electronically in PDF format at EasyChair for the first-round review.

The ISTTT26 Proceedings templates are designed to ensure a uniform format for all conference proceedings. These updated templates include helpful text to guide you through composing and formatting your conference papers. Remember to remove all guidance text from your conference paper before submitting it to the conference.

Full papers

Guidelines for Full Paper Submission

The ISTTT does not have a specific page limit for full paper submissions.
All selected papers will be published in special issues of Transportation Research Part A, Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part C, or Transportation Research Part E. Authors are therefore advised to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the typical length and formatting standards of these journals.
Full papers must be submitted by updating the original submission in the EasyChair portal; authors should not create a new submission.
At this stage, no response letter addressing reviewer comments is required from authors.
